Helpage, an organization dedicated to the well-being of the elderly and older persons, formerly known as Club 60 but now renamed as 40 and Over, is set to host an exciting Easter Games event on April 1st, Easter Monday, at the Vieux Fort Marge Grounds.

The decision to rebrand the club from Club 60 to 40 and Over was driven by a desire to eliminate any potential stigma associated with aging, fostering inclusivity and participation among individuals of all ages.

The Easter Games event promises a fun-filled day of friendly competition and camaraderie, with a variety of events catering to different skill levels. Participants can look forward to classic games such as the lime and spoon race, as well as the exhilarating 4x100 meters relay for both males and females, among others.

Forms for registration and commemorative T-shirts will be available for participants, and individuals from across the island are encouraged to join in the festivities. Special arrangements have been made to facilitate transportation for those in need, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate.

To add an extra layer of excitement, organizers are planning to include a Ministers' race as part of the day's activities, offering a unique opportunity for community engagement and interaction.

Medals will be awarded to all participants, celebrating their efforts and achievements in the spirit of friendly competition. Lunch and water will be provided to ensure that participants stay nourished and hydrated throughout the day.

In order to ensure the safety and security of all attendees, police and security personnel will be present throughout the event, offering peace of mind to participants and spectators alike.

The Easter Games event is scheduled to kick off at 9:00 am and will conclude before dark, allowing participants to enjoy a full day of festivities in a safe and welcoming environment.
